There were a couple complaints with this unit that mostly dealt with the audio functions.  First, the speaker is on the back of the parental unit, so when lying down on a table the sound is muffled.  Second, there is no dedicated volume control button, it is an in-menu item, making it difficult to control volume in the middle of the night.  And the volume cannot be muted, just turned down low, which some parents found annoying.

Most parents using the Mobicam DXR are very pleased with it.  In fact it received mostly 4 and 5 star ratings on Amazon.  Everyone agreed that the picture quality surpasses the quality of most video baby monitors on the market, and some have found that the night-vision video to be the best.  One parent was very happy with the viewing range provided by camera – they were able to see their son’s entire bedroom, giving them a huge piece of mind.
